BRENTON LEITCH

Core Competency: Working with SME's with specific focus on Business Excellence, Business Planning and implementation, through Coaching and workshops.

Background / Experiences: Brenton has worked with SME's across a wide industry base applying his practical experiences and approaches to business planning, marketing and productivity improvement. Coach and licensed teacher of The Harada Method.

He has managed and judged National and State Business Awards including the Telstra and Australian Govt’s Small Business of the Year Awards and the Telstra Business Women’s Awards as well as the SA Advanced Manufacturer of the Year Awards, the SA Toolmaking Business of the Year Awards and Innovators to Watch Awards.

Brenton has developed a number of tools and techniques to assist SME's including 'Visual Planning' and the 'Simulate>Lean>Apply' program. He has also developed and presents on 'Fitness and Focus for Business Improvement', 'Developing Business Plans for SME's', 'Implementing the Plan and Putting things into Action', 'Managing your Business through Stormy Weather' and 'Increasing Productivity for more Profit'.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Business (Marketing Major), Ass.Dip Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technicians Certificate, Winner of Ray Molloy Prize for Business Strategy Studies.

MENTORING
Mentors work with SME's in the implementation of business principles and practices aimed at improving productivity, profitability and sustainability. The mentoring program is typically delivered over a six month period with one-on-one sessions being held on the premises, of the business.

The mentors possess a wide variety of qualifications and skills in a range of industries with many years of experience in their field. They have the ability to offer knowledgeable advice and assistance.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The mentoring program is delivered over a six month period with one-on-one sessions being held on the premises of the business. The mentors will attend sessions with the business owners/managers 2-3 times a month to assist with the implementation process and to act as a support mechanism for the people involved.

The mentors will share their knowledge and experience in order to arrive at appropriate recommendations and will provide information regarding relevant tools and techniques on how to apply the recommendations.
